Best Hotel in Banff, and one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. After months of planning our trip to the Canadian rockies and browsing Booking.com for a hotel a nice looking Hotel in Banff we came across Hotel Canoe and Suites and were not disappointed. In comparison to most the other hotels in the area that charge the same price for dates decor and charge extra for parking etc It’s a no brainer to chose Canoe. The hotel itself beautifully renovated and modernised, the rooms spacious with incredible Mountain Views, the beds comfy and very nice bathrooms and showers. The hotel staff are so friendly from Front Desk to the cleaners everyone is so polite and attentive here, you’re truly treated like a guest and nothing is too much trouble. As we were staying here as part of my Birthday get away, they provided a free Cake in the Hotel Room and an assigned a restaurant credit to our room to celebrate. The hotel restaurant, Sudden Sally was also great, the staff working here were brilliant and the food and drinks even better, we had breakfast here 4 times over a weeks stay, 1 dinner and 1 afternoon happy hour. They make the best Pancakes and the fries on their Small Plates Menu were out of this world. Little added bonus’ were the Key to Banff Cards and Bus Passes, giving quick easy transport to downtown and discounts at local restaurants including by Sudden Sally in the Hotel itself. In hindsight I wish we’d based ourselves here at Hotel Canoe for our whole trip to the Rockies. We can’t wait to return when the facilities are up and running as we’d have loved to have made use of the Hot Pools but they were still under construction. Finally, the only downside to this place is the price due to the high demand in Banff £450+ GBP per night is crazy but this is the same across the board in Banff these days it would be great if there was less greed in the world and it became more affordable, if this happened I’d be here multiple times a year!

- Beautiful spacious room and bathroom - Locally made tea and freshly ground coffee provided daily to your room (first given at check in) - Welcoming, friendly reception staff who were helpful. In particular a dark haired lady (sorry didn't catch her name) who was always very polite, smiley and helpful. We were staying from 18th - 23rd Sept 2024 - Very clean throughout - Parking space in car park - Fab restaurant adjoining hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving delicious, fresh food - Perfect location, we walked for 15 mins to reach Banff town centre. However there is a bus stop outside the hotel, across the road for those less mobile - There is a direct bus to Lake Lake Louise and Lake Moraine, there is another direct bus to the Banff gondola and a direct bus to Lake Minnewanka. The hotel gives you a 2 day free bus pass

Having just returned from 7 nights at the Hotel Canoe, I can honestly say the hotel is immaculate. From check in to check out, the staff couldn’t have been more attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious (and what a view!) with all the modern amenities you could ask for. The fresh coffee and tea each morning in the room from Sudden Sally was a great touch, and delicious! The hot pools were lovely. Although the hotel is a little further out than some properties, it was just a 15 minute stroll into town, or the free Roam bus (tickets given upon check in) was just opposite the hotel, outside A&W / Co-Op which took just a couple of minutes to get downtown. I would highly recommend to anyone considering staying, you won’t be disappointed.

The overall ambiance is very nice - modern, fully renovated and comfortable. The rooms are elegant and modern as well with high quality bedding and towels. We enjoyed the kitchenette with all the coffee and tea equipment. The hotel provides premium tea, coffee and hot chocolate service. The fireplace makes the room even cozier. More than anything, the pools and dry hot sauna are top notch. This hotel has one of the biggest outdoor hot pools. You can wear your cool robe to the pool and enjoy the towel service. The lobby leads to one of the best coffee shops and a well-known restaurant. To get around, we were given free bus passes. Everyone was super polite. If you travel with a dog - this is your place! You get a bed, bowls and other gifts.

Lovely hotel. Right down the end of Banff Ave so away from the busy part of town, but local bus stops right outside (free bus pass is provided by the hotel) and the free ski shuttle to 3 mountains is just across the road. The hot pools were amazing, such a beautiful setting. Nice sauna, no cold plunge pool but standing outside in the snow is a quick way to cool off. Good cafe/restaurant on site. Spacious bedroom with plenty of daylight and balcony. Nice touches like a feature wall which is a map of the region and canoe shaped drawer handles.
